Event information
Friday the 13th things get kicked off with the 2nd annual night ride festival from 2pm - 10pmwith live entertainment and extended riding hours for the regular $35 lift ticket rate.
If you want to do practice laps get there when they open. The Douglas lift will shut down early.
On the 14th it's the ShastaKaze Classic Downhill and Mt. Bike Show.
Race entry is $20 and a lift ticket ($35) if you don't have a season pass.
Registration on event day is from 9:00am - 11:00am with the racing starting at Noon.
Free event t-shirt for racers while supplies last.
6 Racing Classes:
All racers must be 18 or older.
Women's Open (any bike type or age, women may opt to race in any category if their bike fits)
Repack Class (single speed and 1 brake, a coaster brake - any year)
Classic Full Suspension (front and rear suspension bikes pre-2000 model year)
Classic Hardtail (front suspension bikes pre-2000 model year)
Classic Rigid (fully rigid mt bike - any year)
Open Class (bikes with 2 brakes, suspension and a multi-speed drive train newer than 1999)
It's Free to enter your classic mt bike in the show.
People's choice voting to determine best of show winners.

Open Class
Additionally, Chico State will be holding collegiate races all weekend
with open classes for the cutters out there.
Free camping at the Ski Park on Friday and Saturday night.

Course Description: Kamikaze style racing down a loose 2 mile dirt road.
Featuring Classic MTB classes & Modern MTB classes Plus a Repack Coaster Brake Class
2 runs with best single run time to determine the winner in each class.

If racing isn't your thing, but you have a classic Mt. Bike to show off,
then dust it off and bring it up to the Ski Park for the devotees to ogle over.
Prizes will be awarded based on a people's choice basis.
Don't forget about the Night Ride Festival on the eve of the race, Friday the 13th.
Just a day before the Full Harvest Moon, riding under the lights is going to be rad!
